The New York Jets have been a banged up bunch over the last few weeks. After a relatively injury-free September, October was a little rougher for the team.
Then November came…
Gang Green didn’t just lose starter Ryan Fitzpatrick to injury on Sunday, but they also lost backup Geno Smith. Fitzpatrick’s injury will ultimately require surgery to completely repair the ligament damage in the thumb on his non-throwing (left) hand. Smith’s injury to his non-throwing shoulder – at the moment – is day-to-day, which means the Jets may seriously be contemplating first team reps for third string quarterback Bryce Petty this week in practice.
